Home Back

The plan today was to dive Big Saigon, but after anchoring the current and chop was to much so we headed to Whale Watch, again very sloppy so we ended up at the Rock Fall. Visibility around 12m and water temp was 19° A few Cuttlefish around, friendly and I found some Pipe Fish with a fan tail. They are only around 5cm long and deep within a crevice. I managed to capture a couple of images. One carrying eggs. Another Highlight was a 2.5m Grey Nurse Shark, I just caught an image of it as it finned away. Our surface interval was a long one behind Henry Head. The boat wouldn't start. Eventually after waiting for 45mins for the Water Police, the Maritime boat came over on a routine check. Jumper leads wouldn't start it either until we attached them direct to the starter motor. I eventually found the join in the battery cable between the Outboard and Battery Switch was corroded completely away. Replaced the cable and joined properly and all good again.
