Home Back

Great conditions on the ocean today, so we did a little exploring using my new Dragonfly 7 pro 3D sonar. Gives a great picture of the bottom formations. That along with the charts on it we looked around for places to dive. As we were surveying Bypass Reef, we saw Mak Cat, Michael's new boat, they were heading north. We joined them a Yellow Rock. A couple of nice Cuttlefish in some overhangs and a lot a fish about.

After our morning tea, we headed to where Ken's weight belt was found and did a bottom scan for about 150 north and 50m west, didn't see anything that resembled Katz. After that we headed to the "Submerged Hazard" we called it "The Block". Its a large circular object, with bollards on the top. The bottom is shaped a bit like the Desal Inlet caged (we call 4X), but this block does not have any cage. It looks solid. Peter managed to find a Red Lined Flabellina, very small about 15mm in length.
