Home Back

Conditions were great for a deep dive, and its been about 18 months since we dived the Undola, so we did. The seas were flat with a slight swell from the NE with a light breeze also from the NE. We anchored about 5m north of midships. The fish life was plentiful. I swam over the the head and have seen where MichaeL McF. had cleaned it recently, the logo is quite clear. The prop is also still uncovered, there was a time a few years ago that it was completely buried. Found a nice Cuttlefish and a Hermit crab amongst 50 or so Bailer Shell egg stacks.

A few weeks back we marked a wall on the GPS after returning from Mary's Reef, its about 50m off a rock cliff that looks like a big Nose, you guessed it we called it The Nose. 34° 05.814'S 151° 09.953'E. Its a near vertical wall from 20m up to 17m, then a step and up to 13m. Lots of crevices and rocks laying around. we did find a photogenic Wobbegong sitting on a rock.
