The weather prediction was for light swells and only 10kph wind, so we, Rudy Leo and myself, decided to dive the Tuggerah Wreck. We headed out of Dolan's Bay and found the seas flat, didn't take long to get to the site. We anchored and the GPS was saying 10m to the wreck so it looked like the anchor should have been in the sand on the north west of the wreck.
We descended and found sand, visibility was around 10m, I headed north and Rudy used his spool and went south, we did not find it. I then headed Northwest and found the prop, it took us 10 minutes which left us only 10 mins on the wreck two large Wobbegong sharks one on the structure near the rudder and one to the left of the boiler, I showed Leo the engine room where some large spanners are rusted onto a wall.
Second dive at Osborne Shoals Leo sat it out so Rudy and myself used the left over deco gas and the left over twins. Visibility around 15m. We didn't venture far from the overhang, when I spotted some black bubbly looking things on the sand, I brushed them with my Camera and they moved, I called Rudy over to have a look, he put his hand down and the sand started to move, turned out to be a Numbfish. Rudy headed up and I had a bit more air so I headed west about 20 and found a nice Cuttlefish and a six spined leather jacket.click next, or select a thumbnail, to view the images
