Club boat dive to Middle Ground. I have Leo, and Roger from the club and Heinz with me. We had an early start as I had a concert to go to and Heinz had a party, so we met at Dolan's Bay at 7:00 in the water at 7:25 and anchored at 7:40. As we were descending the visibility was fantastic at around 20m, but on the bottom a cloudy 5-10m. We headed north along the channel then east and south an back along the channel to the anchor. Some nice soft corals, gorgonians and plenty of fish.
Second dive at barren's Hut, visibility was a good 15m. Plenty of fish around the cave and I found a new Nudibrach (for me that is) a Black-Tipped Okenia. Towards the end, when the other 3 were ascending a pair of large squid swam by, to far to get a decent photo, and under a ledge near the anchor a giant Cuttlefish. I took at photo at 20m looking up at the boat, you can see how clear the water was.
A great couple of dives. Click the thumbnails or next to view the images
