Home Back

There was rain predicted in the afternoon so we didn't want to go to far out, so we decided on Minmi Trench. We anchored on the Eastern side of the trench. After a second start as Rudy forgot to do his fly zip up on his dry suit which turned it into a wet suit we headed west along the trench, not much fishlife until we hit the sand and the overhang, 8 PJ's were lazing around. Back past the anchor and a Blue Devil under a ledge. Water temp. was 16, Vis 10m

A cuppa near the beach east of Bare Island, Rudy was quite cols and sat the next dive out. The wind had picked up, so we decided to take the safe option and dive the steps. The anchor was around 25m from the reef edge so we carried the anchor over while Rudy drove the boat. Then we headed east into quite a strong current for about 25 mins, and drifted back in 5 mins. Again not many fish about. Still cold and vis 10m
