Home Back

Club boat dive to the Wanderers Reef, one diver dropped out but still had 2 others on the boat. Bram and Clint. After dropping the anchor and looking down I could see the visibility was great. The drop line and weight was completely visible and its at 10m.

On the way down the anchor line it was fantastic. Clint struggled with his ears so he aborted. At 30m I looked up and could still see the boat very clearly. At 35 it got a little gloomy and at 42m where the anchor was the visibility dropped to about 10m. In the next 5mins the visibility dropped to 5m. While setting the anchor a Wobbegong Shark was getting a little agitated, Bram swam around behind it, I took a couple of photos and it took off quite quickly. Further along the reef Peter Flockart, from another boat pointed out a couple of Sea Spiders. Then back to the anchor and at 22mins and a long 25min deco.

Second dive at Osborne Shoals, Clint's ears were fine and we descended into 20m visibility. We checked out the overhang, then east along the wall and into the rock bay. Lots of fish around, 6 Spine Leather Jacket. Back to the overhang a Blue Devil Fish.
