We headed to the central coast, Brooklyn at least, to dive the Birchgrove Park, a large wreck a lot still intact and at 50m depth makes it a deep challenge. This is our third dive on this wreck.
With the wind up a bit and a swell increasing we anchored first go on the wreck and descended into very clear water. At 30m a lot of turbidity brought the visibility down from 20m to about 5, then at 40m it opened up again to about 10 to 15m.
Just nannygai, stripeys and a few Cuttles here today, no Wobbegongs. When we surfaced after 26 min bottom time and 40 min deco the swell was quite large making it very difficult to re-enter the boat.
Not a lot of diving options up here so we didn't do a second.
