The forecast was looking pretty bad, so we decided to have a look at the sea by heading to South Maroubra Beach first, it didn't look to bad so we thought we could get a dive in with the sharks at Magic Point, so we headed over to Long Bay boat ramp....Well the seas were crashing onto the ramp, so we headed for Foreshore Drive boat ramp.

We loaded up and headed out towards Bare Island, a thought was to dive Anchor reef. Botany Bay was starting to swell up a bit and a lot of spray was flying around, mixed with the cold wind, Rudy thought he would zip up his dry suit, I stopped the boat and he started to zip up, he saw that his camera was falling off the seat so he fixed it up and looked over to the other seat, "Hey where is your camera"...

"Oh Damn", well that is what I meant anyway. I left it in the car with my dive computer and compass. Turned around, loaded up what I forgot and headed out again.

Bare Island was being pounded by 2m waves and Anchor reef was washed out, so we headed over to Kurnell. It to was a bit washed out, but better than Bare Island.

We headed over to the wall I found with Brian a few weeks ago, now called "Monument Wall" as it is off shore where the monument is. We anchored and geared up and dropped over the side.

The current was pretty strong so we headed against it to the West, and drifted back. Not a lot of fish, but a friendly blue Groper swam with us, lots of cuttles, and on our return to the anchor, 2 weedy's waiting to have their picture taken, all in all this is a great dive.

After a surface interval at Kurnell beach, and a nice pie and cup of soup, we decided to call it a day and head for home.
